ANSWER - FAITH

What is faith is, is a question in the hearts and minds of many people. First of all we must understand that faith is indescribable, it is much greater than what words can explain, but it is defined enough in the Bible that we can grasp enough of it for us to live by it, and please God through it. Let’s consider a few aspects of faith, especially Christian faith.

1. There are two aspects to faith.

There is what we call the body of faith. It is what we call the “Christian faith”. It is the body of the Christian structure described in the Scriptures. It is called “The faith of God.” The faith of Christ.”

“The true faith” etc. This is simply what God gives to man, it is a structure that has laws, principles and order whereby man can place his own faith in God. It really is the bases for people to have faith in God, which brings me to the second aspect of faith, which is man having faith in God. Our faith in God must be according to the faith that He has given us, in a system or form that lays out the way we can place our faith in Him. For an example, if I want to place my faith in God, I must do it by receiving Jesus Christ as my Saviour—that is what God’s faith requires.

2. The root of faith is belief.

Click-Hebrews 11: 6 for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.” A person can believe and not have faith, but he cannot have faith and not believe. Faith is an element that manifests itself from a hearts and mind of belief. If you believe what God says, then you are in a position to place your faith in Him.

3. Faith is expressed through works, actions.

James chapter two describes this. I would recommend that you read that chapter. It is really our belief placed into action. When I believe something to be right, but do nothing about it, then I cannot call it faith.

4. Faith is fully reliant on God.

Faith is a channel where though God blesses, provides, lead and works in and within people. When we believe something from God and then act accordingly, then God steps in and does what He has said. God does not do it until we act in faith, believing Him to do it. But, this must be according to His faith, in accordance with His Word.

Conclusion

I cannot describe what faith is exactly, but I can promise you that if you will practice faith according to God’s faith, it will work for you every time, starting with receiving salvation from Him through receiving Jesus as your Saviour.

If you want to have Christ in your heart, Trust Him and Believe in Him
